Many people often confuse the difference between intelligent speed gate ( pasillo rápido) and swing turnstile( pasillo motorizado). In fact, the speed gate is an upgraded version of the swing turnstile. Today, let's explain the differences between the two devices in detail.
1. Drive mode
The movement of the swing turnstile adopts four-wheel drive and four-slot braking, which belongs to sliding friction. The speed gate is directly driven by the motor, which is used in conjunction with the clutch and encoder without any friction. The motor transmission efficiency of the speed gate is high, that is, the transmission coefficient is large, and the effective power of the motor is transmitted to the door swing to the maximum extent. The motor usually adopts a DC brushless or servo motor, or a brushed motor. When the door swing deviates from the zero position under the action of sudden external force, the solenoid valve will immediately lock the gate to eliminate the external force, and the encoder will command the door swing to return to the zero position, forming an automatic reset. If an illegal intrusion occurs, the clutch will immediately lock the gate, and there will be a voice alarm prompt of "illegal intrusion".
The movement of the swing turnstile adopts sliding friction, four-wheel four-slot principle, and the transmission efficiency is low. Every time the door swing swings, the groove wheel will slide and rub once, and the positioning is also based on a dead mechanism. If the door swing encounters external force, without anti-collision device, it will directly hit the movement or door swing. In the lightest case, the door swing deviates from the middle zero position, the two sides cannot be aligned, and the synchronization is not good. In the worst case, the movement cannot work normally and the door swing is bent. The motor adopts a brushed motor, and illegal intrusion can only alarm, but cannot lock the gate.
2. Appearance
The appearance of the speed pass door is relatively slender, the movement structure is small, and the clutch and encoder are used in conjunction. It is about 100-180mm wide and about 1500mm long. The door swing is basically plexiglass or tempered glass. From the appearance, the manufacturing process and the overall appearance are high-end and atmospheric.
The appearance of the swing turnstile is wide and thick, the movement itself is large, and it adopts an ordinary movement and a four-wheel four-slot structure principle. The chassis width is generally about 280-330mm and the length is between 420-1200mm. Most of the door swings are made of 304 stainless steel, and there are also a small number of plexiglass. The entire appearance of the swing turnstile looks heavy.
3. Limiting method
Swing turnstiles generally use proximity switches or optical coupling signals, with large contact areas and inaccurate limiting. The speed gate uses encoder limiting, which can be accurate to 1°, so swing turnstiles and speed gates cannot be at the same level. Many companies on the market have reduced the current swing turnstile movement to act as a speed gate, and the quality and performance do not meet the standards of speed gates at all.
4. Control part
The speed gate has a very fast opening speed, 0.3-0.8 seconds/time, 30-45 people/minute, and can swipe the card continuously and open the gate continuously. The speed gate has a memory function and a fire linkage. The speed can be adjusted, generally twice that of an ordinary swing turnstile, which can facilitate pedestrians to pass quickly.
The swing turnstile has a relatively slow opening speed, 20-25 people/minute, and the power-off gate is recovered, which meets the fire protection requirements, but there is no fire linkage function. Ordinary swing turnstiles can only rely on the middle anti-pinch to check whether people and luggage have passed. During peak hours, only one person can pass with one card, and continuous card swiping is not allowed. There is no memory function for gate opening, etc. The control part is like the human brain, fast, flexible and stable.
